“I’m really disappointed and I can’t believe this is where we’re at right now. I’ve always tried to be respectful to my fans and give everything I have on the track, but the way some people are acting—attacking me personally—it’s just uncalled for. I get that fans are passionate, but there’s a line, and it’s been crossed.
It hurts because I’ve worked my whole life for this, and I’m doing my best, even when things aren’t going the way I want them to. I’ve always been open with my supporters, but when the negativity comes at me like this, it makes it harder to stay positive. I just want to focus on riding and getting back to where I know I can be. I really hope the people who are doing this take a step back and realize that we’re all human, and we’re all here for the love of the sport.”
