In a Groove-Filled Surprise, Two Legends Unite
In a fusion of funk, soul, and timeless disco, the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer, and pop-funk maestro Bruno Mars have teamed up for what’s already being hailed as one of the most iconic musical collaborations in decades. Their joint project — a tour and album titled “Funk Eternal” — is set to take fans on a nostalgic, feel-good ride through dance music history, reimagined with a fresh twist.
The Album: “Funk Eternal”
Slated for release in early 2026, Funk Eternal will blend Donna Summer’s iconic disco sound with Bruno Mars’ smooth vocals and retro-inspired funk. The album features reimagined classics like “Hot Stuff” and “Last Dance” with Mars on vocals, as well as brand-new tracks written and produced by the duo before Summer’s passing, using unreleased studio vocals and modern production.
Bruno Mars shared, “This album is a celebration of rhythm, love, and legacy. Donna paved the way for what I do — now it’s time to honor that magic.”
The Tour: A Time-Traveling Disco Party
The “Funk Eternal World Tour” will kick off in Las Vegas in July 2026 and travel to major cities across Los Angeles, London, Tokyo, Lagos, Rio de Janeiro, and more. With holographic visuals, vintage aesthetics, and a 15-piece live band, the tour promises to be a one-of-a-kind experience that bridges generations through rhythm and soul.
Special guests, retro fashion themes, and even roller disco sections have all been teased.
A Legacy Reimagined
Donna Summer’s family has been deeply involved in the project, giving their full blessing. “Donna would have loved this,” said her daughter. “It’s not just about nostalgia it’s about celebrating and evolving her sound with someone who truly understands it.”
