Ken Roczen has had enough.
After Cooper Webb’s recent threat to take him down “with no mercy on the track,” Roczen didn’t hold back in his response. In a fiery statement, the German rider fired back with a warning that has left fans and rivals alike questioning the future of their already intense rivalry.
“Cooper, you’ve really crossed the line now,” Roczen began, visibly frustrated by Webb’s comments. “You think you can throw out threats like that and intimidate me? You’re a joke. Seriously, you’re a coward for trying to make this personal. You talk about ‘no mercy,’ but it’s clear to me you’re just trying to cover up your own insecurities. You’re not fooling anyone, especially me.”
Roczen’s voice was stern, and his anger was palpable as he continued, making it clear that Webb’s attempts to rattle him were only backfiring. “I’ve been doing this long enough to know how to handle people like you. You want to act tough, talk about taking me down and threatening me? Fine. But when it comes down to it, Cooper, you know damn well you can’t beat me on your own. So, you try to stir the pot, trying to get inside my head. But it won’t work. It’s not going to get the reaction you want from me.”
He wasn’t done. Roczen took aim at Webb’s mentality, calling out his reliance on trash talk and mind games rather than focusing on racing. “Cooper’s all about the mental games. He thinks he can mess with me like that, but all he’s doing is proving he’s mentally weak. If he thinks for one second that these mind games are going to work, he’s in for a rude awakening. You can talk all you want, but we both know when that gate drops, it’s all about who has the guts and the skill to back it up. And Cooper, it’s not you.”
Roczen’s response was clear: He was done tolerating Webb’s antics. “I’m not a kid anymore. I’ve had to fight through injuries, fight through bad seasons, and fight for everything I’ve earned. I’ve come back from worse than what Cooper’s trying to throw at me. If he thinks his threats are going to make me second-guess myself, he’s sorely mistaken.”
